“ Went in to try the empanadas, but they offer much, much more. Yes, it would help if you speak Spanish, but the menu is in Spanish and English so you won't have a problem. We had the Pasteles de Pollo (chicken empanadas) which had chunks of chicken in a crispy shell that was much different than others we've tried. The Salvadorian style is very nice. We also had yuca frita and Carne Asada Casamiento, guacamole y cuajada (Grilled steak with guacamole, rice, beans and cheese). The cheese is like a thick sour cream. The rice and beans are made together and are very tasty. They were out of guacamole and asked if I wanted a substitute...but I couldn't really think of one, so I let it go. The hot sauce is off the charts! The service is extremely slow, but the food is very fresh and made to order, so it's definitely worth the wait. They had a whole breakfast menu as well. Give them a try! ”

It's pulled beef with all kinds of spices (not hot) & tasty goodies inside . It's fried perfectly with a great crisp on the outside & soft on the inside. The freshest Empanada I've ever had. Ever. Chicken tamale. Again... Super fresh & super flavorful. They serve the food with a few different sauces. Spicy but not overly . Check this place out if you're in the neighborhood P.S... “ El Vicentino is a "restaurante Salvadoreño." Located right across from "Sparkling Laundry," my husband discovered this awesome breakfast place one day while waiting for his laundry. He liked it so much that he decided to take his pregnant wife, me, for a weekend breakfast. Besides serving breakfast, El Vicentino serves entrees "Platos a la carta," salads "ensaladas," seafood "Mariscos," kids meals, Pupusas, tacos and burritos "Tacos y burritos," chicken "Pollo," soups "sopas," tamales de pollo, desserts "postres," weekend specials, milk shakes "batidos" drinks "refrescos," hot drinks "bebidas calientes" and cold drinks "bebidas frias," When I went into this restaurant, most of the customers are Spanish-speaking and there are two flat-screen TVs that are tuned to a Spanish channel. The staff has limited English-speaking ability and a lot of times, did not understand what we were saying. It really helps to speak Spanish. The menu, which is the take-out menu, has pictures for almost every order so that was helpful. As a first timer, I ordered something that resembles a safe choice: breakfast #4: Huevos con papas de las casa (Con Tocino y Salchicha), which is eggs with home made potatoes with bacon and sausage, $5.50. This was a big breakfast that is definitely more worth the money than Mcdonalds or IHOP. On top of that, to be adventurous, I ordered a Mora (Blackberry) milkshake for $3.50. I have no idea why I order milkshakes in general because I can never finish them though I stayed extra long after breakfast so I can finish it because it was tasty and I didn't want to waste it! It takes a while for the breakfast to arrive, but I won't complain if food is made deliciously. Even the milkshake took longer than ten minutes and there aren't an overwhelming amount of customers, maybe two to four groups at a time. The decor of the restaurant was very home-like feeling with personal arts and crafts on the walls and a panoramic mirror was installed on one side of the restaurant walls where I sat. The breakfast was entree portion and it comes with some spicy and non-spicy sauces that are self-served on the side. Well, I have no idea what these two sauces are called and our server didn't seem to understand when we asked for the name. Apparently, it is normal to add these sauces, but I had no idea what to do so I added it on my potatoes, which made it tasty. Our two slices of bread came out a bit burnt. We had to ask for butter to spread on the toast as it is not automatically served. Overall, breakfast was great and it seems that that owner (I believe he was the owner or manager) was concerned whether we enjoyed our meal or not. He went out for a brief moment, but we met when my husband and I left the restaurant. This restaurant seems to be a family business. He told us cheerfully to come back again and I would definitely try to come back again and maybe try the other entrees. I'm such a Spanish food newbie so I would like to learn more, but English is not really spoken in the restaurant.
